The Return of Nathan Fillion
I’m very excited. I’ve been compliling a list of actors who I’d like to see have their own shows. And right off the top, I thought of Nathan Fillion.
All Whedon fans will recognize Fillion from Serenity, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. But he’s definitely been seen in many more shows and movies, including recent stints on Desperate Housewives and One Life To Live. Fillion also had a role in the sitcom, Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, and he starred in the recent movie, Waitress with Keri Russell.
He’s really an incredible actor and manages to throw himself into each and every role and redefine who is he. So much so, in fact, that even though I have seen him in many different guises, I’m not ever thinking he’s the same guy every time. You know how that goes, you see someone play a certain part for a while and then every time you see them in something else, you can’t help but think of them as the other character they used to play.
After all that, I have some good news. Nathan Fillion does have a new show coming out, Castle, which premieres on Monday, March 9, 2009, at 10 pm on ABC.
Here’s a sneak peak clip of the first few minutes:
It looks like it’s gonna great and it couldn’t have happened to a better guy.
