Supernatural Magic
Supernatural was really good last week. I loved how it seemed like the house was haunted and how it was all so very scary and yet so very fun. It was good to see the guys working well together and fighting the bad guys together.
This week’s ep was good, too. Not only am I a fan of magic, you know, the Houdini kind of magic, I lalso oved all the special guest stars, like Barry Bostwick, John Rubinstein and Michael Rubinstein. John has, of course, been around for a while and I’ve seen him on lots and lots of shows. But for me he will always be evil attorney Linwood Murrow from Angel’s Wolfram & Hart. Michael is his son and he generally goes by the last name Weston, since there was already a Michael Rubinstein in the Screen Actors Guild. Although, now, unfortunately, there is also another Michael Westen. He’s the main character in Burn Notice. So apparently, you can’t win. But anyway, Michael has come to my notice lately as Olivia’s brother Simon Marsden on Law and Order: SVU and as private eye Lucas Douglas on House. I hear they are actually planning a series based on that character. If they do, I’ll watch it. As for Barry Bostwick, who doesn’t love him? I mean it, name me someone.
But back to Supernatural, I have really enjoyed the last two episodes. And I’ve come to the realization that its probably because they have focused more on Dean and Sam, and less on demons and angels and seals and Lillith and Ruby and the end of the world. I like that better.
