Reaper is Back, But Not For Long
A couple of weeks ago I started a post about the start of the 13-week second season for Reaper. I got sidetracked and never finished it. Now I’m reading that the show has been, very quietly, cancelled.
I’m not surprised, really. One of the things I said in my original, unfinished post was that we haven’t seen this show since May of 2008, and honestly, even with the little “previously on” recap that starts off that episode, I still needed a minute to try to remember where we left everyone at the end of last season. Apparently, things happened that I didn’t even remember, like Sam’s father died? He did? I don’t recall that at all.

Ken Marino, Michael Ian Black
It’s not that I don’t like the cast, because I do. Bret Harrison, Tyler Labine (I hear that he has all ready been cast in the lead role of a new comedy pilot on Fox called Sons of Tucson), Missy Peregrym, Rick Gonzalez and Ray Wise are all great in the show. It just feels like the show lost so much momentum over the year it was off the air, it can’t be regained.
