One Tree Hill - Nathan and Haley - looking back

by Staff Writer

Over the past few years, there has been quite the train wreck between Nathan and Haley. Some couples have their ups and downs, but this couple, has a whole roller coaster ride compared to what a normal person would go through in their relationship. What just started off as Nathan trying to do some thing to hurt is brother, Lucas, who he then hated, turned into some thing so much more than just that. Nathan and Haley’s love grew, and when they got married, every one was sure that there was nothing could break their love. However, it seemed that one thing might get in the way of their happiness - Haley’s career. She went on tour with Chris Keller, who is well known as real life singer Tyler Hilton, and Haley’s marriage to Nathan began to unravel. He felt abandoned, as he barely ever got to speak with her, and even asked to come to Tree Hill when she had been touring in New York City. And if it hadn’t been for Lucas, then things probabaly would have stayed that way. After she came back, they renewed their vows, and had a second wedding. This is where their next big bump in the road occured. This seasons unforgettable river accident. The collision of the limousine, which contained Coop and Racel, and the car, which contained the newlyweds, Nathan and Haley. Of course, Nathan and Haley were lucky enough to not be the ones to over the bridge, but Nathan jumped in, as he knew he had to save his Uncle Coop. He survived, but he still believes Keith is the one who saved him. The season from then on seemed to be pretty smooth sailing for Haley and Nathan. This was until Haley revealed that she was pregnant, and while they were filled with joy, they were also strapped for cash. This is when Nathan took a most serious and deadly turn, in asking Daunte for money. He couldn’t pay it back, and ended up having to shave a few points in a game, and convinced Lucas to do so too. Then, when he thought everything was over, Daunte came back, with even more threats to hurt him and the ones he loved if Nathan didn’t loose the state championship game. It looked like for a long time that he was going to do it, until halfway through the episode when he gets his strength back and wins the game, with the help of Lucas, Skills, and the rest of the Tree Hill Ravens. However, the train wreck was still not over for our lovely couple. After the game, Nathan and Haley were attacked by a most recognizable driver - Daunte, who had been angry with Nathan for loosing him mass amounts of money in bets. He drove at full side, intending to hit Nathan, but ended up hitting three or four month pregnant Haley instead. She was taken to the hospital, and luckily, after many hours of healing, surgery and plenty of prayers from her friends and family, she awoke, as good as new, and her baby boy, was said to be just fine. This just shows how lucky these two are, and that no matter what comes their way, they can survive anything as long as they stick together.
