Models In Times Square
This week on America’s Next Top Model, we start out with a little bit of introspection from the girls, as they consider what they were told in panel.
First off, they meet up with Miss J., who has they change into matching outfits, cardigan sweaters and khaki colored capris, black patent pumps and short strands of pearls. It was like they tried to give Mrs. Cleaver a modern make over. Then they walk for him and he brings out two girls from Cycle 9, Bianca and Chantal, to show them how it’s done.
Next up is a Jill Stuart fashion show where they are walking the runway carrying full shopping bags. I was actually surprised that most of them did pretty well. I’m kinda clumsy, so I can imagine tripping over the bags myself. They are being judged by Miss J, Jill Stuart and Anne Shoket from Seventeen Magazine. The winner (who gets some clothing personally chosen by Jill from her collection) is Natalie, even though she twirled on the runway and they didn’t like that. Natalie already thinks she’s the best, so this win can only make her more arrogant. Meanwhile, Tahlia is getting more and more depressed and losing her confidence.
The next Tyra mail warns the girls to give their all on the next photo shoot or they might get “thrown under the bus.” They are actually doing their photoshoot on a double decker tour bus moving through Manhattan that will showcase famous landmarks in New York City. We rode around on those tour buses the first time we visited New York. It was fun. And cold. I think it was a little chilly for them, too. The girls worked in pairs, which I think was a little difficult for them. One stop was Wall Street and another was in Soho, and another in amazing Times Square.
Most of the pics came out looking pretty good, although a couple of the girls were a little stiff. In to panel, the girls are called in this order: Sandra, Aminat, Tahlia, Fo, Celia, Kortnie, London, Teyona, Natalie. The bottom two are Allison and Nijah. Tyra tells them, Allison people think she looks interesting and special, but its not in her photo; Nijah is a beautiful girl, but she has lost the sparkly shine and tension from her first week. Allison is safe and Nijah goes home.
