Fitting into Stylista

by

This week on Stylista, we start out with the contestants chatting about Kate, once again. Danielle is telling her mother that she is shocked to still be in the running and has made the Top 6.

They separate into teams of two: Ashlie and Danielle, Kate and Dyshaun, Johanna and Megan. They have to purchase a $250 thank you gift for Anne to give to Amy Sacco, “a member of New York royalty.” Whatever that means. Ashlie and Danielle put together a travel kit, Kate and Dyshaun choose a vintage Chanel pin, and Johanna and Megan, a cashmere throw. Anne says that the travel bag was a little too low end, the cashmere throw wasn’t the best weight of cashmere, and the pin was beautiful, but too personal, although she likes that they took the risk. In any case, she picks the cashmere throw to give to Amy.

Next they are all going to a party and then putting together a party page for the magazine. They will have to study dossiers on each party guest and remember everything. They are working in two teams of three and Johanna and Megan are now the rival team captains. The teams are Team 1: Johanna, Kate and Danielle; Team 2: Megan, Dyshaun and Ashlie.

They get to choose clothes out of the Elle closet to wear to the party. Poor Danielle is afraid that nothing in that closet will fit her, so she locks herself inthe bathroom to get away from everyone. Meanwhile, Kate, the insensitive, is complaining that she needs to gain weight so the clothes will fit her. Team 1 takes the dossier memorization more seriously than Team 2, except for Kate.

In the end, Team 1 could barely name anyone, even though Johanna stayed up almost all night long studying, and Team 2 knew almost everyone that Anne asked them about. They put their layouts together and its harder for Team 1 since they don’t know all the names. Team 2 went with a theme of leather, and used the title (H)elle’s Angels. The layout wasn’t that good, but it looked like people having fun at a party. Team 1’s theme was Elite Street. It is determined that Kate took a leadership role. But they didn’t think they chose such good pics, since it doesn’t look fun. Plus, they misidentified a person.

Anne decides that Team 2 has won the challenge. Team 2 goes in for eliminations and Anne tells them that Kate didn’t help her team at the party, but she is willing to fight for her ideas and she made up for it by what she did for the layout. She has earned another week at Elle. Johanna has not been part of a winning team since week 1, she didn’t remember who people were at the party, and as team leader it is her responsibility that their layout didn’t win. Danielle’s team made crucial mistakes that could have been caught, but she just typed what was given her and didn’t try to fix anything. She has grown during the competition, but this week they expected more and she delivered less.

Who stays? Johanna has earned another week at Elle. Danielle is not the right fit. Um, seriously.

About Watching The CW

The CW was born in September 2006, and inherited a mixture of programming from its parents the WB and UPN. The CW has a diverse line up from Monday night comedy to Friday Night Smackdown. In between the laughs and the wrestling are alternate reality or fantasy based shows (Supernatural, Smallville), ones that are fit to bursting with bright young things (Veronica Mars, One Tree Hill) and don't forget all the wannabes trying to make it in reality programming (The Beauty & the Geek, America's Next Top Model, Pussy Cat Dolls). This blog will review, recap, share spoilers and other cool finds related to the CW's programming.
