ANTM is Flying High

by

This week on America’s Next Top Model, the girls start out with Benny Ninja teaching them extreme poses in fabric tubes hanging from the ceiling. Sheena does the best, cause she’s really flexible. Then the girls hang out in the pool and hot tub. Clark is dared to kiss Elina. Hannah pushed Isis away from her when she got too close. It was all a little weird.

Next the girls’ challenge is to pose for Tarina Tarantino handbags and jewelry accessories and the winner gets a handbag full of jewelry and accessories. Very interesting looking, colorful stuff, too! Nikeysha seemed to have a lot of problems, plus she told them she needed to pee. Now that’s professional. The winner was Elina. She really did a great job. Even though her attitude is a little off-putting.

The photo shoot calls for the girls to hang from a rope ladder which is then hanging from a hot air balloon. Fortunately, before the first girl went out, the balloon wasn’t cooperating, so they just held the ladder up with a crane and will photoshop the balloon in later. Most of the girls seemed to be doing OK and it did look like fun, but also a little scary, cause I’m afraid of heights.

On to judging. For this early in the competition, several of the pics were really good. A couple were just so-so. So far my faves are probably Elina, Joslyn and Isis, cause I think they are all pretty good. It may be a little too soon to really decide who’s gonna last and who isn’t yet, though.

For eliminations, the girls were called in this order: Lauren Brie, Elina, Joslyn, Marjorie, McKey, Samantha, Sheena, Hannah, Clark, Brittany, Analeigh. The bottom two were Nikeysha and Isis. And, yay, Isis stays. Nikeysha couldn’t even be quiet when she was being eliminated, so I think it was a good choice.

Be sure to show up next week, cause it’s makeover week, my favorite week of all.

About Watching The CW

The CW was born in September 2006, and inherited a mixture of programming from its parents the WB and UPN. The CW has a diverse line up from Monday night comedy to Friday Night Smackdown. In between the laughs and the wrestling are alternate reality or fantasy based shows (Supernatural, Smallville), ones that are fit to bursting with bright young things (Veronica Mars, One Tree Hill) and don't forget all the wannabes trying to make it in reality programming (The Beauty & the Geek, America's Next Top Model, Pussy Cat Dolls). This blog will review, recap, share spoilers and other cool finds related to the CW's programming.
