ANTM Gets a Make Over
On America’s Next Top Model this week, we have the make overs. It seems like this is early to me, but this ep is always fun. The girls are always really excited at the start and then there are tears and knashing of teeth. Sadly, there are no actual breakdowns during the make overs and they had to make a little tension by pretending they were going to cut one girl’s hair when they really weren’t going to. The only one still crying afterwards was Fo, and she didn’t need to at all, cause she looked so adorable and pixie-like with short dark hair.
Since there is no Walmart in New York City, they have set up a CoverGirl Wall. The girls are put into teams and need to go find someone on the street to go back with them and be a model. They then introduce their person to the different products on the wall. The winning team was Sandra, Aminat and Celia.
Now comes the photo shoot with Nigel Barker and the point is to make sure they find the light. The theme is rock and roll, all colorful and crazy with wild hair. They actually have to hold these light sticks that look liked curling irons or something. Maybe some of them did OK, but most of them looked a little confused or bored. Fo continued to whine about her hair.
Nole Marin is back to be a guest judge!! Yay! I love Nole. So we go through the pics and most of them looked just OK. We get to see a little bit more of the hatred between Aminat and Sandra, as they both rejoice ove the other’s bad review by the judges.
Into eliminations, the girls are called in this order: Teyona, Celia, Allison, Natalie, London, Nijah, Tahlia, Sandra, Kortnie, Aminat. The bottom two are Fo and Jessica. Tyra tells them: Fo there’s nothing wrong about crying over her hair loss, but since she won’t let it go they question if she has the committment it takes to be a model; Jessica is beautiful but that doesn’t translate to her photos.
Who goes? Jessica. As she leaves, she still doesn’t get what Tyra tried to tell her. That being pretty in person isn’t the same as being a model. Her parting comment is that she’s still prettier than some of the girls who are still in the competition.
