ANTM and CoverGirl Commercials

by

I’m really sorry that I’m so behind the time in posting lately. Not having access to the CW is lots of no fun. I have to wait until someone uploads the shows and that doesn’t necessarily happen as fast as I’d like, and then I have to find a time to watch them other than when they are on and when I’d normally be watching. Its very sad. But anyway, I enjoyed this week’s ep of America’s Next Top Model, even if I did have to watch it in like 6 minute increments on youtube.

It started out showing everyone a little unhappy about different things. Sheena because she was in the bottom two last week and is worried about this week; Elina and Marjorie because they are both European and have trouble adapting; Samantha because of all their whining and blaming their difficulties on being immigrants. When Samantha innocently pointed out that they had lived in the US for more than half their lives now, they were quite offended at how no one understood them. Honestly, I have to say that I’m so over Elina and Marjorie and their attitudes. Enough is enough already.

The girls then met up with Ron and Richard Harris, the aswhirl twins, who showed them how to work a garment and accessories. So for the challenge, they were in an invisible model fashion show, where they wear a green body suit that covered them completely, hands and head included. The winner gets a holiday spread in Seventeen Magazine. It was interesting to watch them dancing around on the stage, just clothes alone. Personally, I thought Analeigh was the best, from what we saw, but they liked Elina best. She chose Marjorie and Analeigh to share in the win.

Joslyn got sick before the photo shoot and the poor girl was throwing up in a garbage pail while waiting for her turn to shoot the CoverGirl commercial. The commercials seemed a little better this cycle than they normally do, but maybe it was because they got to use a teleprompter. I thought the best ones were Analeigh and Sheena. Oh, and they got to meet Whitney, last cycle’s winner, too, which was fun.

In panel, the girls had to show their walk with these big ugly yellow clogs that looked like clown shoes! Sheena was great, but Samantha could barely move. The point of that was that next week they are going to Amsterdam!!!

As for the commercials, Tyra said she thought Analeigh’s was the best CoverGirl commercial she’d seen in the history of ANTM. I agree.

On to eliminations, the girls were called in this order: Analeigh, Sheena, Samantha, Marjorie, McKey. The bottom two were Joslyn and Elina. Tyra said she had two very interesting, beautiful girls before her. Joslyn took great pics in the beginning, then she started to faulter, but she is a survivor. Elina also took beautiful pics, but it wasn’t translating into her moving around or talking, she still needs to let go.

So who goes home? Joslyn. I was so sad and it didn’t seem like any of the other girls were too happy either, except for Elina and Marjorie.

About Watching The CW

The CW was born in September 2006, and inherited a mixture of programming from its parents the WB and UPN. The CW has a diverse line up from Monday night comedy to Friday Night Smackdown. In between the laughs and the wrestling are alternate reality or fantasy based shows (Supernatural, Smallville), ones that are fit to bursting with bright young things (Veronica Mars, One Tree Hill) and don't forget all the wannabes trying to make it in reality programming (The Beauty & the Geek, America's Next Top Model, Pussy Cat Dolls). This blog will review, recap, share spoilers and other cool finds related to the CW's programming.
