And America’s Next Top Model is . . .
So we’re finally up to the last week and get to find out who is the new America’s Next Top Model. It will be either McKey, Analeigh or Samantha. Personally, I like Analeigh best.
I wonder, when these girls watch the show afterwards if they are completely embarrassed by how they behaved? Just thinking.
They start out this week shooting a commercial and a print ad for CoverGirl and some of the lines are Dutch! Also, they have to kiss a guy. The prize is amazing, though, their picture in Times Square and in every Walmart across the country. Sam and McKey both seem to have done just OK in the commercial, but not spectacular from what we see. Analeigh forgets her lines immediately. And we never see her get too much better. As for the photo shoot, they don’t get to have Jay there helping them to pose.
Analeigh and Samantha seem to be worrying more than McKey, but maybe that’s just all they are showing us. Or maybe it means something. Maybe McKey’s being more calm means she has this in the bag.
So in panel, we get to see the commercial, which is a combination of all of them and it’s pretty good. Separately, Samantha wasn’t too good. Her photo was OK, but not model-y. Analeigh’s commercial was pretty bad. Her photo was OK. Actually, I thought it was good. McKey’s commercial was probably the best. Her photo was good, too. I just think she’s a little personality-less, but whatever.
Listening to the judges deliberate over the top 3, you almost think they have to also be deciding who is gonna win, don’t you??
The first person who was safe in the Top 2 was McKey. As for Analeigh and Samantha, Tyra tells them: Analeigh, the judges feel she has some of the strongest poses, but has a soft commercial face; Samantha, the judges think she is very commercial, but her picture this week didn’t make them think she could sell in a commercial ad.
Oh no! Analeigh is out. Samantha moves into the Top 2. I’m really sad. I thought she was the best overall, even going way back. Hopefully, someone will find her and she can be an actress or something.
Samantha and McKey then do another photo shoot, this time for Seventeen Magazine, and then they have a fashion show on this really wild pink runway, with hills and stairs and all this other stuff. Very interesting looking. They even have to start out at a run to make it up the first hill. In high heels, no less.
No one fell over or anything, so that’s good. Samantha kept holding open this split over skirt on one of her dresses and it was bothering me. Then she did the same thing with the dress she wore into panel. It didn’t look good. But the judges seemed to like her “working” the dress.
We get a chance to look back over all their photo shoot pics. The judges seem to pretty much like all their pics, so it’s hard to say what they are thinking.
So, on to the final elimination. At this point, even McKey looks like she’s about to cry.
Right away, Tyra announces that America’s Next Top Model is . . . McKey.
She was so excited, she actually picked Tyra right up off the floor when she hugged her. Question, does anyone else think she looks a lot like previous Top Model winner Yoanna House?
