All things Supernatural

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

I am having serious Supernatural withdrawal and can’t wait for season two to be released on DVD on September 11th - something to pass the time until October 4th and the start of the third season. In the meantime there are some goodies to be had at the CWTV.com.

- Interview with Jensen Ackles and Eric Kripke at Comic Con
- Supernatural widgets to be downloaded
- Get the Supernatural look

And if that fails has anyone read the comics yet?

Monday Mix

Monday, August 27th, 2007

Congratulations to Tyra who beat out the competition of Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell, amongst others, to win Choice TV Personality at Teen Choice 2007.

It has been a good week all round for ANTM with TVGuide.com reporting that Eva Marcille Pigford (winner of cycle three) will be guest staring on Smallville in a suitably titled episode - Fierce. I know that I almost never mention One Tree Hill but more guest stars have been added to the forthcoming season, and you can read about it here at Ausiello (because I have never heard of them).

ANTM: Cycle 9 - Meet the models

Friday, August 24th, 2007

The gals from Cycle 8 are fast fading from memory, and even though September 19th is still a few weeks away the good folks at America’s Next Top Model have decided to tease us with introductions to the bevy of model wannabes: Ambreal, Ebony, Jenah, Bianca, Heather, Kimberly, Chantal, Janet, Lisa, Mila, Saleisha, Sarah and Victoria.

Welcome girls! Look forward to getting to know you in the up coming weeks.

An interview from Neptune

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

There is a fantastic interview with Kristen Bell at TVGuide.com and she will be doing 13 episodes of Heroes but this wont infere with her voiceover duties at Gossip Girl.

Ausiello as a wee Supernatural scoop regarding the demon whom Dean sold his soul to last season - just tell me it has a happy ending!

A hero from Neptune?

Monday, August 20th, 2007

Is it just me or has Kristen Bell been linked to every prime time show this summer? Variety is reporting that the former Ms. Mars will be appearing in a multi-episode arc on Heroes. Fantastic! I just got into Heroes this weekend and I am hooked. (BTW I just knew that Eden had to be a baddie as she was too much of a goody two shoes!)

Smallville Spoiler

Friday, August 17th, 2007

Kristin E!Online breaks the news that Mrs. Alexander Luther will be returning to Smallville and her return will involve cloning. What do we think about that? Are we happy that Lana will be returning in one form or another after last season’s finale?

Veronica Mars…

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

Looks like us Mars fans shouldn’t get too excited about the rumored Mars movie according to an interview with Kristen Bell on MTV.com (via TVGuide).

I guess we will always have the boxsets to keep us entertained.

A little something for Tuesday

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

I can’t believe that I forgot Piz (aka Chris Lowell) from last weeks Veronica Mars post, luckily E-Online’s Watching With Kristin has an interview with Lowell where he chats about past, present and future projects.

There are pilot reviews to be read over at SpoilerFix, including Aliens in America and Reaper though the reviewers seem a little down on the CW. What gives? It is the network that brought the Pussy Cat Dolls to the small screen?

What Are They Up To: Veronica Mars

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

By no means definitive and mostly anecdotal…

Kristen Bell giving her voice as “Gossip Girl”, a few movies in post-production and rumored to be heading to Lost.

Jason Dohring has a role in CBS’s forthcoming vampire-detective-falls-in-love-with-mortal series Moonlight. I guess we will wait to see what they do different to Angel.

Rob Thomas has been brought in as a consulting producer on ABC’s Big Shot.

Tina Majorino is back for the second season of Big Love, Weevil was in an episode of The Closer, and Percy Daggs III wrapping up American Son.

Lots of good stuff

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

Digging back into even more Superman heritage it is reported on TVGuide that Helen Slater will play Clark’s bio-mother. Yes, the former Supergirl will now be Supermom. I wonder if she has any tips for Laura Vandervoort?

Gossip Girls is now going to debut on September 19th moving up a week to grab our attention before the premier of Bionic Woman.

Check out SciFi to see how excited Eric Kripke is about the forthcoming season of Supernatural. (He even teases us with an anti-Christmas urban legend - how cute would Dean be in a Santa hat?).

Guest Star Alert: Smallville

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

The powers-that-be at Smallville are going for a hat trick of supermen: Tom Welling, Christopher Reeves and now Dean Cain. SpoilerFix reports that Cain will be guest staring as a possible baddie - Dr. Curtis Knox. The good (or dodgy) doctor has an obsession with meteors and can cure those affected.

Uber TV geek Ausiello has his live press tour diary over at TVGuide.com and you can read all about his thoughts on the new CW season ahead.

About Watching The CW

The CW was born in September 2006, and inherited a mixture of programming from its parents the WB and UPN. The CW has a diverse line up from Monday night comedy to Friday Night Smackdown. In between the laughs and the wrestling are alternate reality or fantasy based shows (Supernatural, Smallville), ones that are fit to bursting with bright young things (Veronica Mars, One Tree Hill) and don't forget all the wannabes trying to make it in reality programming (The Beauty & the Geek, America's Next Top Model, Pussy Cat Dolls). This blog will review, recap, share spoilers and other cool finds related to the CW's programming.
